In addition to offshore energy, GCG have worked on a large number of other offshore projects, covering a broad range of aspects.
We have accumulated considerable expertise in the assessment of the stability of subsea slopes. Using sophisticated modelling techniques we have been able to model the formation of salt diapirs and looked at the effect of these on slope stability.
Offshore site investigation is frequently a critical element in the design of offshore structures, and GCG have experience of specifying and interpreting the results of offshore investigations, allowing us to characterise the conditions at the sea bed, identify ground based risks and optimise our foundation designs.
These projects have happened all around the world requiring us to work in a wide variety of different environments, with each project presenting challenges, not just related to the ground but also weather and seismic hazards. To facilitate global working, we are familiar with different standards and design codes used in different parts of the world.
