GCG Founding Partner Dr. David Hight to Deliver the 9th Victor de Mello Lecture

GCG is pleased to share that Founding Partner, Dr. David Hight, will deliver the 9^th Victor de Mello Lecture, on Friday 23^rd August 2024, at the LNEC in Lisbon. His lecture, entitled “Characterization of soils: the continuing importance of fabric and anisotropy”, will be delivered during the 12^th Luso-Brazilian Geotechnical Engineering Congress.

The Victor de Mello Lecture is a very prestigious invited lecture, given every two years by a renowned Brazilian or international expert in geotechnical engineering. The lecture was created in honour of Professor Victor de Mello, a pre-eminent geotechnical engineer who dedicated his life to technical excellence and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering.
