We are pleased to announce that our Senior Geotechnical Engineer, Dr Amandine Brosse, has joined the ISSMGE Technical Committee 309 (Machine Learning and Big Data) as a Corresponding Member.
Amandine brings together strong geotechnical engineering expertise with advanced capability in data analytics. Her completion of the MITx MicroMasters® in Statistics and Data Science has further strengthened her knowledge of statistical inference, Bayesian modelling, and both supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods.
She has already applied these techniques to geotechnical engineering challenges, including the optimisation of laboratory testing campaigns for offshore wind farm projects and Bayesian analyses of geotechnical data.
Her appointment to TC309 reflects the growing importance of data-driven methods in geotechnical engineering and provides an opportunity to contribute to the development and application of machine learning and big data across research and practice. We congratulate Amandine on this achievement and look forward to her contribution to the committee’s work.
