Following the legacy of our founder Prof. P. Vaughan, we continue to retain a unique expertise in slope stability assessments and management, which we have strengthen over the years through research and experience and successfully apply to climate change challenges.
Our numerical analyses capabilities enable us to simulate costal erosion processes, cycles of wetting and drying and soil-atmosphere interactions accounting for precipitation and vegetation.
Members of our team have expertise on the hydraulic behaviour of unsaturated soils and Capillary Barrier Systems, as well as international experience on natural slope management. We are proudly contributing to the upcoming CIRIA guide on Slope Drainage.
We retain a unique expertise on the design of dams and have produced seminar work on the effectiveness of sand waste fill in reducing differential movements during reservoir impounding.
