GCG is delighted to welcome Serena into our team. She joins as a Geotechnical Engineer.
Serena recently completed her MSc at Imperial College London. Her MSc dissertation was on the influence of the degree of saturation on the mechanical behaviour of tailings, undertaken under the supervision of GCG’s Associate, Professor Jamie Standing. The research also included a physical model to investigate the development of the meniscus between soil particles as suction increases, allowing this important phenomenon, relevant to unsaturated soil mechanics, to be observed and understood better.
