GCG is pleased to share that Founding Partner, Dr. David Hight, will deliver the 9th Victor de Mello Lecture, on Friday 23rd August 2024, at the LNEC in Lisbon. His lecture, entitled “Characterization of soils: the continuing importance of fabric and anisotropy”, will be delivered during the 12th Luso-Brazilian Geotechnical Engineering Congress.
The Victor de Mello Lecture is a very prestigious invited lecture, given every two years by a renowned Brazilian or international expert in geotechnical engineering. The lecture was created in honour of Professor Victor de Mello, a pre-eminent geotechnical engineer who dedicated his life to technical excellence and the dissemination of knowledge in the field of soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering.
