GCG congratulates the winners of BGA Case History Award 2022

GCG congratulates the authors for winning the prestigious BGA Case History Award for 2022, for their Paper titled: ‘Case studies of circular shaft construction in London’, at the British Geotechnical Association (BGA) Annual Conference 2023, which was held at the Institution of Civil Engineers, London. GCG is proud to have part-funded and been involved in this research project, undertaken at Cambridge University.

This annual award is presented for an outstanding contribution to the knowledge and experience of the UK geotechnical engineering profession, through the publication of a well-constructed and researched case history or histories, or the publication of recommended practices or design methodologies.

The Award was presented to Prof. Lord Robert Mair, Senior Partner at GCG, and Dr. Njemile Faustin, Principal Geotechnical Engineer at AECOM (former employee of GCG), who are pictured above, receiving the certificate from BGA Chair, Dr. Andrew Ridley.

The authors of the Paper are: Dr. Njemile Faustin, Associate Prof. Mohammed Elshafie (former employee of GCG) and Prof. Lord Robert Mair (GCG Senior Partner). The Paper is available for free on the ICE Virtual Library For further information, please click here.
