GCG Associate, Professor Kenichi Soga, announced as the 63rd Rankine Lecturer

We are delighted that GCG Associate, Professor Kenichi Soga, will be delivering the 63rd Rankine Lecture in March 2025. This was announced following the excellent Rankine Lecture by Lidija Zdravković, who is also a GCG Associate.

Kenichi is Professor of Mineral Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a renowned expert in infrastructure sensing, energy geotechnics, and soil behaviour, having published some 450 journal and conference papers and a book over the past 40 years.

Kenichi is the 10th GCG Rankine Lecturer, following on from Lidija Zdravković (2024), Stephan Jefferis (2022), Richard Jardine (2016), Tom O’Rourke (2009), Antonio Gens (2007), Robert Mair (2006), David Potts (2002), David Hight (1998), and Peter Vaughan (1994).
