Our Senior Partner Dr Angeliki Grammatikopoulou will present on Thursday 12th June at the ISFOG 2025 conference her paper entitled “The Interpretation of Triaxial Test Data and its Effect on the Numerical Analysis of Monopiles Founded in Sand” which is co-authored with Felix Schroeder of GCG, and Eleonora Sailer, David Taborda, and David Potts of Imperial College London. Her presentation will highlight challenges in the interpretation of triaxial tests on sands, and the effect that this has on the calibration of constitutive models and on the predicted response of monopiles founded in sand. The study examines key aspects of the monopile response, including lateral load-displacement curves, ultimate capacity, structural forces and soil reaction curves.
