Last week, one of our Associates, Prof Stavroula Kontoe, delivered a keynote lecture, titled: “Seismic response of offshore foundations with emphasis in liquefiable ground conditions”, at the 8th International Conference on Earthquake Geotechnical Engineering.
Stavroula’s contribution was an important milestone at the ISSMGE TC203’s premier conference on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and addressed a key risk for offshore wind farm projects in seismically active areas. Stavroula’s expertise in this area adds to GCG’s capabilities in the renewable energy sector in markets such as Taiwan and Japan.
