GCG’s Jackie Skipper and John Davis (together with A. L. Flynn, P. E. F. Collins, T. Pickard, N. Koor, and P. Reading) have co-authored a paper on ‘Buried (drift-filled) hollows in London – a review of their location and key characteristics’ in QJEGH.

It is an OPEN ACCESS article. Download your FREE copy from the link below: https://qjegh.lyellcollection.org/content/qjegh/early/2020/12/08/qjegh2019-145.full.pdf [PDF].

It compiles new and existing information relating to features frequently referred to as drift-filled hollows. The key aim of the paper is to update the article written by Berry (1979) in QJEGH (https://qjegh.lyellcollection.org/content/12/1/9), producing a resource for both engineering projects and academic research. Fifty-four additional drift-filled hollows have been identified and their physical characteristics are tabulated where available information allows.
